We want to take a brief moment and remind you that in order for you to maintain your status OR up your status for 2018, you need to get up and be active on a weekly basis.
If you are already a member at one of the Vitality partner gyms, remember to go on a regular basis (not just for a smoothie, but for a health changing work-out session) If you are active outside of gym, there is a range of alternative ways to earn those very important fitness points for this year:
- Link your health app (for I-phone users) to your Discovery app. Active8 the step counter and start taking those steps! 10 000 steps will earn you 100 points which is equivalent to a session in the gym.
- Link your S-Health app (for Samsung and other android driven smartphone users) to your Discovery app.
- Join Vitality Fit and participate in Discovery sponsored events (such as trial runs, cycling and swimming events) automatically gets your 300 points per event!
- Register on www.parkrun.co.za and start earning 300 points per Park Run completed. Even your six year old can participate and earn points!
Should you wish to invest in your health, we suggest investing in a Fitness Device. The most effective way to earn fitness points without going to the gym! This way you can earn while you go for a walk with your dog or a walk in the park! For those fitness junkies out there, earning points based on your heart rate, time and intensity of your work-out with a device is a great way to reach a higher status!
